Most of the work happens before any film touches the paint. The difference between a good installation and an exceptional one sits almost entirely in preparation and in the edges nobody thinks to look at.
Inspect
Every surface assessed. Every imperfection considered.
We measure paint depth panel by panel and photograph what is already there — stone strikes, previous repairs, swirl density. Nothing is agreed until you have seen the same photographs we have.
Paint depth readings · Existing damage recorded · Fixed price agreed
InspectPrepare
The paint is cleansed and made ready for protection.
Chemical and mechanical decontamination lifts bonded iron, tar and salt. On a car kept near the Eastbourne seafront this stage pulls off far more than most owners expect to see on the towel.
Iron fallout dissolved · Tar removed · Surface levelled
Apply
Precision-cut film, formed around every curve.
Film is cut to the millimetre and worked across the panel by hand. Compound curves are formed with heat rather than forced, because a stretched film will always try to return to flat.
Pattern cut to the vehicle · Formed by hand · Edges wrapped
ApplyPerfect
Edges refined. Panels inspected under controlled lighting.
Every edge is tucked into a shut line or wrapped behind the panel wherever the panel allows. Then the car goes under inspection lighting, which is far less forgiving than daylight.
Edges tucked · Lifting checked · Inspected under light
Protect
The car leaves with protection designed to disappear.
The adhesive continues to cure for several days after you collect. You leave with written aftercare, a wash routine that will not undo the work, and a finish that looks untouched.
Cured indoors · Written aftercare · Collection arranged
